DANCE

Dance is a performance art form consisting of purposefully selected sequences of human movement. It is is one of the oldest and most sociable forms of entertainment. Dance is an expression of your personality and a way of exploring who you are. There are several dance forms to choose from, all with their own different style and expression. Dance is an excellent way to improve your coordination, stamina, stregnth, flexibility and fitness. Most importantly it is a great way to have fun!

STYLES

 FREESTYLE 

A modern, expressive and varied dance style. This particular form of dance involves runs, spins, kicks and leaps, as well as many other dance steps and movements with lots of arm and hand actions. The music can be slow and sensuous or fast and rhythmic, allowing dancers to use freedom of expression to enhance their style.

 

 STREET 

This refers to several dance styles - regardless of country of origin- that evolved outside of studios in any open space, such as streets, block parties, parks, school yards and raves. Street is an improvisational, hip-hop inspired, active dance style. It is social in nature, encouraging contact with spectators and other dancers. The hip-hop style, B-boying, and the funk-style, Popping and Locking, are some of the most popular street dance styles.

 JAZZ 

Modern Jazz includes various rhythms and styles for fun musical interpretation. It teaches you to develop many different movements reacting to a broad choice of varying rhythms and musical styles. Classes are structured to prepare the physical strength and flexibility required to demonstrate emotion through interpretation of any musical genre.
